How to setup Honda HDS on Multi-diag

It is possible to configure Honda HDS (Honda Diagnostic System) software to work with China clone ACTIA II 2013 multi-diag J2534 pass thru interface? Yes, our customer has tested it work.

How to use Actia Multi-diag J2534 PassThru XS device with Xhorse MVCI Honda HDSsoftware?

You’d better installing HDS on Win XP!!!

1. Install MVCI HDS software v2.21 or newer
2. Double click on Honda HDS PassThru.reg, agree to add data to registry.
3. Install PassThru drivers with default parameters (latest version available from http://www.passthruxs.com/download.htm , named API Passthru+ XS for Workshop)
4. Run HDS software, go to configuration page, for Comms Interface select SPX-MVCI:

5. Done.

NOTE:

Our customer has tested the II-2013 Multidiag J2534 on HDS, have not tried other versions (I-2014, 2013V etc). If you failed to configure 2013.02V, you can try others version around.

If you cannot find the Honda HDS pass thru.reg during install of the HDS or after installation, only MVCI discovery wireless, mvci update, mvci registry which display MVCI USB IP address, MVCI Ethernet IP address and MVCI wireless IP address. Here is the solution:

Solution:

Run Honda HDS software, click on F12 on the top screen and click on button “Select a new device” , you will hear “CLICK” relay in connected ACTIA PassThru device. Look for Comm Interface click on the arrow. You should see your Actia multi diag and if not you have to get your driver fix.

1.connect the main cable’s 15pin femaleconnector to the BD15 port on the top of the MaxiSys MS906 display tablet.tighten the captive screws.

2.Connect the 16pin male connector of the main cable to the vehicle’s DTC, which is generally located under the vehicle dash.

3.power up the display tablet. your MasiSys MS906 is now ready for use as a diagnostic device.

* How to update MS906 firmware:

1. Power up the MaxiSys MS906 Display Tablet, and ensure that it is connected to a power source and with steady internet connection.

2. Tap the Update application button from the MaxiSys Job Menu; or tap the update notification message when received one. The Update application screen displays.

3. Check all available updates:
If you decide to update all the items, tap the Update All button.
If you only want to update some individual items, tap the Update button on the right column of the specific item.

4. Tap the Pause button to suspend the updating process. When you tap Continue to renew the update, the updating process will resume from the break point.

5. When the updating process is completed, the firmware will be installed automatically. The new version will replace the original version if there is One.

How to disable DRLs with Bluetooth ELM327

Tool needs:

A ELM327 scan tool (take this cheap Bluetooth one for €6)
Phone or Tablet
1)    Download Carista OBD2 APP on your phone or tablet.

Download the vehicle specific functionality one. Price may differs, but overall cheap under $10. Take Lexus-specific as an example, cheap $9.99. You can also customize your car to your liking! Carista is compatible with standard (i.e. inexpensive) ELM327 Bluetooth adapters that plug into your vehicle’s diagnostic OBD2 port.

2)    Plug the Bluetooth ELM327 adapter into the vehicle OBD port.
3)    Turn the vehicle ignition to ON position without the engine OFF
4)    Open the software and select “CUSTOMIZE” function on the main menu. If it is the first time you use the device, you have to pair with the Bluetooth VIN using 1234 or 0000 to confirm.

5) The program will display some function option list. Select “Lights”

6) You will be shown the current daytime running lights status–ON. Double click the “Daytime Running Lights” icon

7) Tick “OFF” and save settings.

8) The program will pops out a message ask for Carista OBD2 app payment. Click “BUY” to pay for the app. If this is the first time you’re changing a setting, the app will launch the Google Play in-app billing screens and will guide you to purchasing the Pro Package (which is required for changing settings; it’s a one-time purchase and then you can change as many settings as you like, as many times as you like). The Pro Package also gives you access to advanced diagnostics of all Toyota/Lexus ECUs, not just OBD2 stuff.

9) After pay for the app, the system is saving previous settings. You are able to do some further settings. Otherwise, exit the program.
