How to solve Autel DS708 language problems

Problem:

One of Autel DS708 users came across “The language is not authorized” error during the upgrade procedure.

Solution:

The reason is that each Autel DS708 multi-language diagnostic system can only support one language in one device. If you select a different language, you will get the error message. Do not add more than one language when update the device.

Problem:

A German DS708 user downloaded the German version language software from official website. But the system language turns into Portuguese language after an upgraded without doing any language setting.

Solution:

Enter the serial number to the official website to check the language version you have downloaded. After update the device, you should set the language as German as well. Some vehicle model can not displayed as German will be replaced by English.

Problem:

Get the DS708 diagnostic tool English version, but can not change it into French version.

Solution:

Autel DS708 allows users to customize one specific language among these languages: English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese, but not accessible to switch to the language what you want when you use DS708.

NOTE:

How to change Autel DS708 language:

You have to send the serial number and language you want before the device shipped to you. But if you want to change your language after you get the device, please again sends the serial number and language to your dealer.

Solve to MaxiDAS DS708 Fatal Application Error illegal operation

Question One:

I get one Autel MaxiDAS® DS708 Update Service Special for USA and Canada, after complete update, I got a message "Fatal Application Error", reading: Application AutoRun.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor. My machine Serial Number is DS010Q001035, as following picture shows:



Solutions from UOBD2 engineer:

Please insert the SD card into your computer and format the SD card, and then run the Autel Maxidas DS708 Update again.

However, if you didn't register your DS708, follow the next steps to register and update:

1). DS708 Register Wizard
Insert the SD card into your computer and run the Autel Maxidas DS708 Register Wizard. Follow the step2 to step4 in "B. Register on the scan tool" (turn to page 26 in the Maxidas DS708 English manual) to complete registration to SD card. Put the SD card back to the scan tool and restart it to finish registration procedure.

2). DS708 Update

Insert the SD card into your computer and run the Maxidas DS708 Update. There is a Register option in the log-in window. When click on it, it will automatically link to DS708 Register Wizard. Follow the step2 to step4 in "B. Register on the scan tool" (turn to page 26 of DS708 English manual) to complete registration to SD card. Put the SD card back to the scan tool and restart it to finish registration procedure.

Question Two:

After register Autel DS708, I go to update and got error message reading "no connection with the server, please check network connections, what's the reason?

Solution from UOBD2 Engineer:

Do you have Autel Maxidas DS708 connected to the internet? If the DS708 has been connected to the network, but can't update, advice you update DS708 on computer.
