Autel MaxiDiag Elite MD802 Error “Printing Failed” What can i do

I write this blog to share my experience to solve the problem of “Printing Failed” or “not all frame received by AP (Autel Printer)” with Autel MaxiDiag Elite MD802.

Problem description:

When I printed the live data with PC and Autel MD802, the printing aborted from 131 frames to 234 frames. As the text output in the software stopped and some seconds later the message on the md802 popup with the text “printing failed”, I guess the software of autel scanner is sucked in a storage problem. My operation laptop is win7 64bits. The Autel MD802 software I have installed is V6.13.

Reasons analyzed:

As I have installed the software RS232 Datalogger by Eltima software and then the printing works until the end. Thus it’s not the problem with the driver, but the problem with the software Autel Printer.

What I tried to solve the issue:

1 Send large datastream captures to the PC (win7 32 bits) from the MD802. Use RS232 DL instead of Autel Printer.

2 Remove the SD card from MD802, use a card reader to copy the DATs to the PC, and then fware’s excellent DS708 helper program to open/display/interpret the DAT in textual and graphical formats.

Autel MaxiSYS Pro MS908P Key Erase Issue on 2000 Ford Focus (fixed)

I write this blog to share my problem about Autel MaxiSYS Pro MS908P key erasure on 2000 ford focus and its solution with you.

2000 Ford Focus Z-Tech

Diagnostic tool used:

Autel MaxiSYS MS908P

Issue description:

I intended to replace the PCM in my vehicle. With followed all the instruction for key erasure, the MaxiSYS MS908P seemed to freeze at the 9 second make on the task bar.

Reasons:

The engine told me that I could only program new third key with having 2 already programmed keys, which meant that I couldn’t program new key if I did not have 2 working keys.

Solution:

1 Download the beta version V6.12.10 to have a test.

2 Try to program key manually. The process bar will appear for 10s after key erasure. Please ignition off and program it as followed:

Turn the ignition key to position 0

Cycle key1 in the ignition from OFF to RUN for at least 3 seconds

Cycle key2 in the ignition from OFF to RUN for at least 3 seconds.
Cycle key1 in the ignition from OFF to RUN for at least 3 seconds.
Two keys are programmed now.

The following parts record DS708 keys lost what problem I had and finally I solve the solution.

12th May, 2015:
I thought I would bump this up since I just got ds 708. I tried rewriting vin and pin to replacement immobilizer, type 2 Chrysler, no success. Said no communication. Had correct pin for replacement, pulled it with Spanish T300. I am not sure is it possible, and what I did wrong. Got vehicle running by inputting replacement immobilizer to PCM. But now have immobilizer and Pcm with wrong VIN.

Then I was advised to do:
Chrysler>>>body> >>misc. function>>>PCM or skim replace.>>> then follow the menu.

I followed his path above, but at skim replace, it decided to tell me it could not comm with the immo. Codes kept telling me vins were not matched, but the only way i could find to match them was to put replacement immo vin into existing PCM. I do not know if there have been some kind of lockout in replacement immo? I did have an hour lockout after pulling pin, maybe it was still in lockout? Left ignition on for over one hour. Car was in paint shop at auto body place today, I have one more crack at it tomorrow afternoon

Finally, I solve it by myself, and successful at programming key.
Ds708 did a 99 Nissan Maxima with DS708 work great, no problems programming keys.
Did a 2004 infiniti G35 all keys lost
I should have had this tool 5 years ago

Of course, it helped me sort out troublesome cars on many occasions, the tool was definitely worth the money.
