Feedback on BMW F22 M235i Coding Adventure with E-sys cable

BMW M235I F22
Days ago, I used the new ENET cable to manage to do some coding on BMW F22 M235i. Then, i share my coding adventure on forums. And here is one of useful feedback. Put them here and it works.
My post:
“Finally had enough time off work to get all the software installed onto my laptop (over 7GB of files). Once installed I took my new E-SYS cable and connected to the OBD II port in the car. Note, if you haven’t found this connection yet it took me a while. My old E92 had a little plastic door right above the hood release, not on the F22. Everything being black I had to take a flashlight up under the driver side before I found it. No cover on it, just sits along the side kick panel above and back from the trunk release button.
Fired up the car (you can put your car on battery tender instead) and connected my new cable to the port and into the laptop. Fired up my new software (without the needed token files) and hit “connect” and prayed it would work. After two or so minutes of files loading and the LAN connection establishing communication with the car I had an active connection
Not having all the software fully licensed for use yet I did some simple looking around and check to see if my car was supported with the default F20 file set. I was able to the read my cars VIN and populate all the internal settings in the software configuration. Really cool! I now have access to all the internal data settings stored in my ECU. Save a copy of the original settings (will back them up to be safe) and shutdown. Once i get the token files I will begin finding and coding the different settings.
Pretty exciting stuff that I get to be my normal computer geek self and play with my favorite toy at the same time. Will keep this thread updated with my experience as I proceed.”

“You don’t need to be a computer software developer to install and use the software, but that won’t hurt either. The reason you are finding it difficult to find all the required information and setup in one location, as best I can tell, is that a lot of what is being done could be consider in violation of warranty and/or software rights. I think the people who have ventured into this are vary worried about being exposed to the powers to be, or worst held in some legal contempt for helping others change computer settings in someone else’s vehicle.
I had to make contact with no less than 3 individuals who have experience with the process and access to the software before I could even get it started. Now that I made it pass the initial issues I feel pretty good about performing these changes to my own car. I guess we will see shortly as I now have my token to perform the a

Autel MaxiDAS DS708 Scanner Review

I’m Dennis, I have been focused on the Autel MaxiDAS DS708 for a long time.I find thatthe Autel MaxiDAS DS708 has many advantages,including support for more than one "brand"of vehicle, all in one design, automatic Wi-Fi updates available, advanced USB communication, etc. I spoke to Autel and they told me that this does everything EXCEPT "it can not flash/program modules...” Besides, I asked on the forum if anyone who has tested this scanner.

Fortunately, I did get some thoughts and comments from friends.
Customer A: This is the only scanner I have. The DS 708 was able to not only read the module but had good bidirectional support as well. The ford diesel coverage is very good. The gm diesel support is hit or miss. Haven't tried dodge. The European coverage is excellent. Bmw support is great. Mine even works on pre obd2 models using the proprietary bmw connector.
Customer B: I’m Chriscox. I own a ds708, have used it for 4 years since they came out, love it, great scanner, its basically 99% has the function of techII.
Customer C: There is no internal battery in the Autel. But you get used to it. . If you visit Savannah before you make your scanner purchase you can try mine out. But really... For the money it is by far the best I've seen or us
Customer D: I bought one to have a generic scanner who works pretty good, no scope though. I haven't really gotten to play around with it much. We use it on occasion for the odd non German car that comes through the shop so I don't know all the capabilities.
Customer E:I've owned one for about a year, got it between €700~800 at http://www.cardiag.co.uk/.Those guys are great there.It does do software updates over wifi and they are updated pretty frequently. Live data has some of the best coverage I have seen for an aftermarket scan tool. For the money is can't be beat. If you want a general shop tool this pretty damn good.Like others have said, no bells and whistles, no scope or trouble shooter, just good basic info. I use this mainly for Chrysler as the factory tool is insanely expensive and I am pretty pleased with it.
Great thanks to these friends. Now I have bought the Autel DS708,and had a great experience. Hope this blog can give help people in need.

How to use Autel MaxiSys Pro MS908P to program Acura TSX 09 key

Keeps Autel MaxiSys Pro MS908P for some days, usually I use it for diagnosis like reading or clearing some faults. Today, I try it to program a new key for Acura TSX 2009. Work like a charm! I have to say that. MS908P with MaxiFlash Pro J2534 box to program keys like a professional key programmer, e.g. SKP900.

Here, I would share my experience of key programming for Acura TSX 2009.

items needed:
The original Acura key

A spare key to be programmed

MaxiSys pro MS908P
Autel MaxiFlash Pro J2534 ECU programming tool

My procedure to program a new Acura key
The car starts
Connect Autel MS908P and Autel MaxiFlash Pro J2534 ECU Programming Device with the car

MaxiSys pro MS908P starts


Insert the spare key and original key separately to be ON


When insert the original key, select Acura on MS908P


Then USA

Then Start New Session

Select Diagnosis

Then Control Unit

Then IMMOBI (immobilizer)

Keep the ignition ON until the tester directs you to turn it OFF

Program keys with a T5 stamped on the blade of the key…

Diagnostic system initializing…
Select IMMOBILIZER SETUP

Establishing vehicle communications…
Select ADD AND DELETE KEYS

Establishing vehicle communications…
Then ADD KEY

Establishing vehicle communications…
Turn the ignition switch OFF

Turn the ignition switch ON with an original key

Turn the ignition switch OFF within 17 seconds

Turn the ignition switch ON with an new key within 20 seconds

Turn the ignition switch OFF within 17 seconds
Turn the ignition switch ON within 20 seconds without changing the key

Turn the ignition switch OFF
Turn the ignition switch ON
Is the immobilizer indicator light turned OFF?

Then check the immobilizer indicator light


Turn the ignition switch ON
The registration of keys has been completed.
Turn the ignition switch OFF


Then insert the key newly programmed to have a try and make sure that it works

  3. Cut Suzuki, Mazda (key tooth in ignition lock more than door lock) all key lost, simply by enter the key code
  4. Do Hyundai, Kia, Peugeot, and Citroen all key lost, directly program keys
  5. HU101 works fine, HU92 works fine.
  6. HU66 OK, have to do two passes on each side to get the key to work, same with hu100.
  7. Fix the problem that other key cutting machines cut domestic Honda key not accurately

  1. No built-in battery
  2. No solution for Renault emergency blade yet
  3. Condor XC-MINI cannot decode HU83
  4. Track still breaks

Audi A6l 2.4 all key lost and I use VVDI2 key programmer by Xhorse Company to make key and remote key successfully, the following paragraphs are the detailed procedure, hope it helps.
Remove engine from Audi a6l 2.4

Open Engine cover, find out the Engine position, disassemble engine.
Remove the engine-02
Remove the engine ECU
engine type-03
Take apart engine ECU.

Next is to read this 95320 chip.

Remove 95320 chip and put it on the VVDI pro to read data.
Remove 95320 chip-04

Open VVDI pro

Select type, manufacture and model

Click “New”

Click “Read”

Successfully Read out data, click “Save”.

Take out chip from VVDI Pro and desoder the chip back to the engine ECU.

Reinstall engine ECU back to the Audi.

Open VVDI2 and click “Audi” option.

Select “Special function”
Select “EEPROM data processing tool”

Firstly calculate CS code
Select “ECU Simons PPDIX – Reset component protection data”

Click “Load” the load the data that read out just now, then click open.

This is CS code, take a picture to record it.

Next is to calculate it’s PIN code

Select “ECU Simons PPDIX – Security Access Code”

Click “Load” again to load the file.

PIN code is read out, record PIN code with photograph.

The first step is prepared well.


Open VVDI2, click “Learning Key”- “Audi A6/Q7” Option.

Input the CS and PIN code that read out by VVDI pro, then you will see the button “Learning Key” and “Generate dealer key” are enabled.

Put OEM chip and 8E chip into VVDI2 key programmer.

Click “Generate dealer key”

Generate dealer key is done.

Next is to learning key

Disconnect the short insurance line.
Disconnect the short insurance line-13
Connect back

Take out the chip from VVDI2 and put it into ignition data coil.

Click “Learning Key”

Open and close car door, turn on ignition, press down brake.

Click “Learning Key”.

learning successfully.

Next is to read out EZS-KESSY(J518)EEPROM.
Click “ok”, select Chip type 9S1201128, the aim to read EZS-KESSY(J518)EEPROM is to generate OEM remote control.

Save EZS-KESSY(J518)EEPROM.

Generate OEM remote control.

Vertical put remote controller on the coil of VVDI2.

Click “Open”

Following the prompt the put the remote controller, click “Next”

Controller is generated successfully, assembled key and to test.

Test the key whether it can start the A6L.

The car can start.
